I really miss material photography. Because I have such a family collection of photos in a shoebox, but it's not in my hands for now, and I'm not in relations with my father that I could take it, so I actually don't have photos. (...) I decided to make such a material album of my own using the imperfect Instax [Fujifilm instant camera], and I wanted to make such a project that will record my family, my chosen family. And these are both human and animal persons. I define this family as such a group of people I care about, but they also ask what's happening with me, so we have such mutual interest. (...) This is rather something that builds me up. Also such a feeling of some sense, well. This groupness is important to me. (...) You can call it that, because it's love for these people."
