Adela

A cis woman, age 59

You know, it’s also different, I had a job where I couldn’t say certain things about myself and so on. So now when I’m retired, I feel safe. I can afford many things I couldn’t before. However, these are such nice drawings that, well, actually, I drew, because I drew. They’re cheerful, colorful… And here we are, we are together. A treble clef came to mind, I say, let there be a treble clef. And we function like this. [There’s also a gesture] Fuck You, to make it funnier. This is a positive vision. Yes, positive. Such, in sum, ours.

About the project in Poland

Art educator Monika Mizielińska facilitated creative workshops where participants explored queer aging through artistic expression. Using materials provided on-site, they created diverse artworks reflecting their visions, hopes, and concerns about the future.
