Sam told:

It’s a difficult question because I prefer to live in the now. Some things are gone and others are not there yet. This is a mindfulness magazine, which I love. It’s about being present and aware of yourself, and creativity and days without worries, no rushing. It has all kinds of stories about lives, beautiful pictures. I didn’t know the magazine, but my best friend got it for me when I started having not-so-nice feelings inside, stressful feelings. She had experienced the same a couple of years ago, so she brought these to me. The stories do give some support – I can recognise some stories. Somehow, it’s a support.

I started taking about six week ago. Which is fine for now. But at some point it would be good to leave them.

About the project in Estonia

Artist Alana Proosa photographed objects brought by the participants. These objects symbolised something to leave behind and something to bring to the future. These objects are accompanied by accounts told by the interviewees.
