Kaj

A lesbian woman, age 76

Photo: ???

Kaj told:

here and now
not before and not then
in this now
am I here

let the colors flood
let the fantasy take
their dizzying runs

go from the visible
to the invisible
that becomes visible

discover that which is
there in front of me
without worry

let my steps
take me forward
what can I leave behind
without missing?

Life is running 100-meter hurdles
with the future as the finish line

My time will come to an end
A time where I will no longer exist
Can I be okay with that?

Pull out your rainbow
from all your body’s hiding places
and let the colors
paint the frozen facades of daily life

see me
without filtering the light
through old filters
you will be amazed

Sometimes
my feelings dance
do a somersault
or the splits
roll around in the green
among the flowers

In the age of organized insanity
I try to find my way
step for step
I walk now……
